Sevara is a regulatory and public policy expert, specialising in media, content regulation and content production. She is currently Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom Practice of FTI Consulting, where she is active on the questions of platform regulation, future of technology, audio-visual regulation, data policies and digital identity.

Before joining FTI, she held the position of Political advisor on Media and content policy to the Vice-President of the Government and the Minister of Media, Culture and Women’s rights of Wallonia Brussels Federation, where she led projects as diverse as the negotiation of management contracts of public service media, the transposition of the Audiovisual media services directive (AVMSD) the Digital Services Act, the media literacy strategy implementation, gender equality and diversity and inclusion in the audio-visual sector.

Previously, Sevara was a Media policy advisor at the Conseil Superieur de l’Audiovisuel, Belgian audiovisual media regulatory authority, where she was in charge of issues related to cultural diversity, advertising and commercial communication, diversity and inclusion, public service media and headed several workstreams in collaboration with the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services.

She started her career in Belgian film industry as a production and casting manager. She holds and LLM in EU Ip and ICT Law from KU Leuven and a Master’s degree in Film production and directing from INSAS.
