Paul has worked with local government on digital transformation projects for over 25 years. As a specialist in digital disruption, digital transformation, digital permits, parking ICT and smart city operations he has spoken worldwide on digitisation and the challenges faced, at Ministerial level, to academia and to business leaders.
Paul founded Chipside Limited in 2003 and remains its CEO. The company is a leading UK tech company, providing MiPermit services to local government Authorities and the public across the UK.
Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Society Arts and the Royal Geographic Society. A Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and the City of London. Paul received an OBE for Promoting UK Tech abroad and is a Department International Trade Tech Export Champion 2020-23.
Paul volunteers as an Associate Board Member of England’s Economic Heartland, a Board Member of the Western Gateway Pan Regional Partnership, and Chair of Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
